At Essential Rehab, we specialize int the rehabilitative treatment of the shoulder, elbow, & hand. Our licensed occupational therapists/certified hand therapists have extensive knowledge of upper extremity anatomy and function. We work with our clients to restore their movement, strength, coordination, and function to acheive the highest functional outcomes and best results for return to your previous level of function.
Our facility is staffed with highly trained and knowledgeable CHT’s (certified hand therapists). We collaborate with your physician to create your treatment plan, using the highest clinical standards in the field.
We offer flexible appointment scheduling: Monday through Sundday
Mon: 8-8, Tues: 8-8, Wed: 8-8, Thurs: 8-8, Fri
We also work with many insurance plans. Medicare, Worker’s Comp and No Fault insurances accepted.

Our aim is to make the benefits of hand therapy as accessible to those who need it as possible. As such, we will work with whatever insurance plans we are able to, and will work with you to verify any benefits that apply before carrying on with any treatment.
If you’re on Medicare, Worker’s Comp, or any non-traditional insurance agreements, simply mention it to our staff when arranging an appointment and we will do all that we can to help you get access to the treatment that you need.

Why Choose a Certified Hand Therapist
A “Hand Therapist”, does not mean you are a CHT (Certified Hand Therapist)
Many programs offer Hand Therapy, but this is not the same as offering Certified Hand Therapy and also not the same as providing one-on-one care by a therapist. Certified Hand Therapists must practice and accumulate a certain amount of hours in treatment of the hand and upper extremity and pass a certification exam. CHT’s specialize in treating hand and upper extremity conditions.
They work closely with orthopedic and general surgeons to ensure maximal outcome of patients. Through advanced education, clinical experience, and knowledge in anatomy, physiology, and Kineseology, they are proficient in the treatment of upper extremity conditions.
Certified Hand Therapists provide non-operative interventions, preventative care, and post-surgical rehabilitation for a wide variety of Upper extremity disorders. This includes patients with chronic conditions, such as arthritis, neurological conditions, such as stroke, carpal tunnel syndrome and sports and orthopedic injuries.
Our therapists use a variety of techniques and tools, including activity and exercises programs, custom splinting, management of pain and swelling, and wound and scar care. We can help you with complaints that are both recent and chronic, helping you make a return to a higher quality of life in which you can be more productive.
